I’m always collecting essays and otherwise on artists, and this last three months was no exception. For instance:
- Here’s some great portraiture from Jenny Seville.
- Is this really a Rubens? Read and decide if it’s fake.
- Mondrian was a great abstract painter, but did you know he painted flowers too? Very good ones, as this shows.
- This exhibit of Kiefer next to VanGogh would have been a great show. I love when curators put together artists in this manner.
- For Morandi fans, which I am, kinda?
- Not Morandi, but Morandiesque.
- Roz Chast is an artist and don’t let anyone tell you different.
- Finally, an essay on the famous wheatfield work in Manhattan. It was such a hopeful work back in the early 80s.
