Here’s some random links I have found this week and some comments. The tone is somewhat negative. The mood of the web is negative these days, and it gets to me. If you are not up for that, just ignore this for now.

• People have become actively political across social media recently. Some of it is really good. Much of it is not. Form your own opinion. My opinion is most of what passes on social media is trivial, however righteous. As for me, this is is what I think about how I use twitter: Why I post mostly random nonsense on Twitter (as opposed to trying to influence the world with my tweets). Right now my current goal is to stick to providing positive and useful information to share online. To each their own.
• Good piece on why rents will likely stay high for some time in cities like NY. Cities need to consider ways to keep vibrant and defeat this: Opinion | Coronavirus Isn’t Killing NYC’s Small Businesses. Rent Is. – The New York Times
• I have a very low opinion of  Medium because there is so much terrible writing. But I make exception for this. I like how Obama talks about the cost of destruction. Too many people on twitter talk about destroying property like it is no big deal and maybe some times it isn’t but often it is.
