What is (Red) Wire?

(RED)WIRE, as the site says,

“…is a digital music magazine with one very important difference. It not only changes the way
music is discovered, it provides medicine for people who need it in Africa.”

(RED)Wire states that it will provide you with weekly delivery of great music delivered weekly for a cost of $5/month. The best part is that half of that goes to buy medicine for people living with HIV in Africa.

If you are already buying music online, consider buying some via (RED)WIRE – an online music magazine that saves lives.

  1. It is good. I am a fan of the (Red) line myself: I have bought everything from iPods to Hallmark and Starbucks card. The only thing I passed on was the Gap line: I felt that the Gap clothes should have been priced in line with the other clothes in their stores (in Canada the Gap (Red) line was significantly more). I also would have liked to see them selling T shirts made in Africa: the last I checked, the (Red) line in the Gap in my area came from China.

That said, Gap is to be commended for participating in the (Red) program and for staying in it as long as they have. And all the business who participate in the program are doing a great thing: the (Red) web site says they have brought in $100 million so far. All good stuff.
