Janelle Monáe video, Tightrope is brilliant and visually striking. But it’s the song itself that’s great all by itself. It has a great Motown/James Brown to a feel to it. And it’s as upbeat as anything. Perfect to fire up your day/week.

I saw her perform at the Black Cat in DC a couple of months ago. She put on a phenomenal show with tons of energy. She’s a cutie pie too.
Lucky you! THAT would be a great show! And yes! She is a cutie pie. She’s sporting the same ‘do that Rhianna has in “Rude Boy” and the lead from The Noisettes has in “Never Forget You”. And she can dance like anything. Great stuff.
