I have started to notice a backlash against Twitter. Some of the critiques are warranted, but others fault it for things that it is not and cannot be responsible for. But rather than dwell on the negative, I’d like to focus on the positive, specifically this article that Mashable has on the 10 Most Extraordinary Twitter Updates. Even people who don’t use twitter will find it fascinating, I believe. As for people like me, who have been a part of the Twitter movement for some time now (4000+ updates and counting), well…I am happy to have been part of it the whole experience.
And how did I come across this article? Why, from someone else’s tweet, of course! 🙂

twitter is wonderful to network with like-minded individuals, share and receive relevant information. Just wanted to share my twitter experience because your site is awesome! I started three twitter accounts in mid-dec. One for my Canadian payment processing business, one for my restaurantblog and for my house music (electronic/ DJ) hobby. With the hobby twitter account, I was able to share and receive mixed music mp3’s and find lots of people who specifically liked this type of music. With the hospitality twitter acct, I was able to network with over 50 people in that broad industry and about 20 contributed guest posts for my blog. With the payment processing twitter acct, I was able to get sales and marketing information that experts in the industry that were located in the US that helped with my business. I was able to post any new blog posts for each audience- an added source of traffic. Twitter is fantastic!
