Father’s Day is coming

When? Well, it depends on the year and the location. Different parts of the world celebrate the day in different months. And the day changes ever year too. So, for help on locating the exact day, check out When is Father’s Day? 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014?

  1. That’s interesting!
Being an ethnocentric American, it never occured to me 1) that other countries celebrated Father’s Day, and 2) that they would be on different days than ours. (I thought America was the center of the universe! Guess not!)
    🙂

    1. I was a bit surprised by that too (although I am Canadian. 🙂 ) Regardless of where it is celebrated, I am glad it is.

  2. Hmm, I think this list is not complete … what about other countries around the world like Spain, France, China, Brazil, etc.

Here in Japan, it is celebrated also on June 21, 2009 – there are many signs about this on stores and shopping malls (you gotta love commercialism).

Since Santa once told me that Wikipedia is 100% accurate (ya, sure), see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Father%27s_Day for a more complete listing.

    1. Thanks for the addition! Now no one has an excuse for missing Father’s Day! 🙂

  3. I noticed you had a page on that you linked to various Father’s Day websites and I just wanted to let you know about two other sites that might be worth linking to. They are the Father’s Day websites fathers-day.ca and fathersday.org. I noticed both websites weren’t in your list of holiday sites so I wanted to send this over. I hope this helps!
