Love this site, plenty of interesting articles. Keep up good work.
Thanks!
I suppose that thousands of PhD candidates in the political and social sciences are already at work on this topic, but I’m really interested in the power of Facebook, and cell phones, and Twitter, and e-mail, and PayPal, and all the related Internet gizmos to help We the People go around existing institutional and governmental barriers. What happened in Tunisia last week seems to have been enabled to large extent by cell phone usage and Internet access. The coming years should be fascinating, as the entrenched power elite fight desperately to hang on to the control mechanisms that they have enjoyed for so long. Go, Wikileaks !
Yes, indeed. For in the coming years, everyone in the world will be connected to one Internet. That will be bigger than Facebook or Apple or any of the current IT companies or technologies in existence.
