It is an odd time to be a Canadian, located north of Trump’s America. As in previous months, Trump has stepped up his attacks on his neighbors to the north. And as before, he’s slamming more tariffs on Canadian goods, this time due to the smoke from the forest fires, he says. Who knows?

All in all, a sad state of affairs. I am grateful for my good friends and neighbors south of the border. Let’s hope they prevail in upcoming elections. Let’s hope things get back to the way they were under Biden and Obama and Bush.
