I was glad to come across this piece at artsy.com on these Anselm Kiefer’s watercolors. It’s a fine reminder just how great watercolor can be in the right hands, like Keifer’s. It was also a pleasant shock to see him make works so very different than what I am used to seeing from him. If you know his work, you’ll know what I mean.
