I was going to write a post on terrible people and things. It seems like they are everywhere in the news and social media, from the obnoxious Karoline Leavitt to the white supremacist, Richard Hanania Not to mention Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and most of the people from silicon valley. This story about a woman’s mom dying quickly of cancer I also found terrible, though the people in it are good people.
I decided to pivot, and instead write about people taking the terrible and working hard to make it less so. Helen Ouyang writes in the New York Times about such people….doctors in Pittsburg who leave the warmth of the hospital to go outside and treat people who are homeless and living on the streets. It is terrible that people live this way: it is hopeful that people are working to make their lives better.
I highly recommend the piece. You can find it, here.
