I’ve been interested in the history of the Bible and older religions for some time. That online research led me to a site by an actual Biblical scholar who has a site devoted to Biblical Contradictions. So there’s some good stuff there on Yahweh = El, here and here. Moreover the whole site is good, including some sections based on the the Documentary Hypothesis. Like much concerning Biblical study, there are many areas of disagreement, including that of the Documentary hypothesis. Keep that in mind whenever you read anything that sounds too definitive. That said, I found the Contradictions site well done and worth a study.
